Video Systems Technician

Full time position available for a Video Systems Technician to perform safe and cost-effective maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and removal of video security, Wi-Fi, and fare collection equipment owned and/or operated by ACT/MCT.

Essential Functions includes but are not limited to:
  • Performs preventive maintenance to systems as scheduled by the shop foreman.
  • Performs non-scheduled repairs as directed.
  • Conducts diagnostics, repairs and calibrations of all systems associated with the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Notifies the shop foreman of repairs or problems requiring additional or unusual maintenance work.
  • Utilizes diagnostic equipment, computer systems, applications and tools.
  • Records all work completed and / or in progress along with parts / materials into the computerized maintenance system.
  • Verifies operations of systems to ensure proper functionality and accuracy of systems.
  • Reads and interprets technical information pertaining to systems installed, serviced, repaired and maintained.
  • Maintains, repairs and installs updates on video system server and software.
  • Stays current on required certifications.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in electronics or related field or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Technical and / or computer training certifications preferred.
  • Possess valid driver’s license.
  • Experience using computer systems and applications or ability/willingness to learn.
  • Possess knowledge of proper safety precautions and use of safety equipment.
  • Clean and neat appearance.
